About SR3H
SR3H is an independent AI research and software development lab in Oxford.
We investigate how AI works in practice and build software around problems worth solving. We also help businesses understand where AI and automation can be useful in their systems and workflows.
We build prototypes, run tests and compare approaches. Some work becomes products; some remains research. We also build straightforward software where AI is not the right solution.
We are based at Grassroots, the science and technology workspace managed by Oxford Innovation Space.

What we are interested in
We are particularly interested in places where capable AI still leaves an important design problem unresolved.
How much personal information does a model actually need?
Can useful context remain under the person’s control?
How do we distinguish a plausible answer from one supported by evidence?
What happens when AI moves from answering a question to taking an action?
How do businesses and other organisations remain accurately represented when more discovery and decision-making happens through AI?
And when is conventional software still the better solution?
These questions run through much of the work at SR3H. Finding that a simpler approach works better is also a useful result.
